Actress, Producer & Entrepreneur

Nikki Reed

Film audiences have embraced Reed since she stormed the industry with her award-winning 2003 breakout role in THIRTEEN which she received wide critical acclaim including an Independent Spirit Award for Best Debut Performance and a nomination for Best First Screenplay. She has since become best known for her role as ‘Rosalie Hale’ in the TWILIGHT SAGA, in which she earned three Teen Choice nominations.

Among her first film projects, Reed starred opposite Alec Baldwin in MINI’S FIRST TIME, and opposite Emile Hirsch and Heath Ledger in Sony’s surf-and-skate cult hit LORDS OF DOGTOWN.  Reed later produced and starred in Thomas Dekker’s horror JACK GOES HOME, which premiered at the 2016 South by Southwest Film Festival. This followed her starring role in the indie film ABOUT SCOUT opposite Jayne Seymour, Ellen Burstyn and Danny Glover and the family drama A SUNDAY HORSE alongside Ving Rhames and William Shatner. She has also appeared in small-screen programs such as “The O.C.” and as the original American flag maker ‘Betsey Ross’ on FOX’s historical fantasy television series SLEEPY HOLLOW.

In addition to her thriving acting career, she is also recognized as an entrepreneur.  Reed created the socially conscious lifestyle company, BaYou With Love, in 2017. The company was born out of the lack of sustainable and natural options and supports local craftsmen, artisans and ethical factories.  In 2018 BaYou with Love collaborated with Dell to create The Circular Collection, a 14-18k gold jewelry collection from extracted gold pulled from old computer motherboards. The collection went on to be named a finalist as part of Fast Company’s 2018 Innovation by Design Awards.  The latest collection, released in winter 2018, is a collection of engagement rings, all made from 18 karat gold recycled from tech and cultivated diamonds grown in California and ethically mined sapphires.

Reed is also a distinguished animal rights activist, primarily focusing on dogs, rescues and shelters. She has spent many years volunteering and supporting animal rescue programs, in addition to wildlife and environmental groups and mentoring programs focused on the education of disadvantaged youth. Reed serves as an ambassador for the Humane Society of the United States and won the 2014 Compassion Award for the ASPCA. She is also the Director of the Ian Somerhalder Foundation and has helped to provide well over 200 grants to families who cannot cover the cost of surgeries for their animals. The foundation has an entire wing dedicated to saving rhinos in South Africa, which supports Reed’s powerful short film with Adrian Steirn and RYOT about the record levels of rhino poaching in that country. As if that wasn’t enough, Reed is also a founding member of Thrive Market, a groundbreaking online store with a mission to make healthy living easy and affordable for American families.
