Actress, Producer & Director

Mädchen Amick

At the age of 16, Mädchen negotiated with her parents to allow her to leave her small town of Reno, NV, and move to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of becoming an actress.  Shortly thereafter, director David Lynch, who ended up playing a pivotal role in her career, cast her in the TV cult classic Twin Peaks.  She starred as ‘Shelley Johnson;’ a role which he developed specifically for her, and one that she reprised in the recent Showtime revival.  The show recently celebrated it’s 30th anniversary.

Amick has since worked on a myriad of projects on both the big and small screen.  Her feature credits include Stephen King’s Sleepwalkers, Dream Lover opposite James Spader, Trapped in Paradise opposite Nicolas Cage, Scenes of the Crime with Jeff Bridges, and Screen Gem’s post-apocalyptic thriller Priest opposite Paul Bettany and Christopher Plummer.  Additionally, she has appeared on television series such as Witches of East End, American Horror Story: Hotel, Longmire, Californication, Damages, Gossip Girl, ER, and Mad Men.   Never one to rest on her laurels, Amick has begun honing her skills as a director.  In addition to starring in the feisty role of ‘Alice Cooper’ on CW’s Riverdale, she directed the Season 4 cliffhanger finale episode.

In the past 2-years she has shot three music videos; the first of which, Kings & Queens, recently garnered multiple awards including the Best Director Award at the IFS Festival.  Lastly, and close to her heart, is her work as a global ambassador for BringChange2Mind, a non-profit spearheaded by Glenn Close, which takes on the extremely important task of helping to eliminate mental illness stigma in society.  She recently produced and directed the documentary Behind The Curtain which takes a closer look at all aspects of mental health, from diagnosis and treatment to big pharma and politics.
